In an emergency, every minute counts. If the protective function of the cabinet fails, the stored substances act as fire accelerants and become a source of explosions. For this reason, the more time there is, for evacuation and for the fire fighters to extinguish the fire, the better. This also helps to limit damage to the facilities, and provides piece of mind that your samples (and years of work) can be kept safe in the event of an emergency.
Construction of these units meets the highest quality standards manufactured with powder-coated steel doors, Gypsum board insulation, powder coated steel outer carcass, high-quality décor panel inner carcass, and interior fittings available in either powder-coated or stainless steel. MSDS can be provided upon request.

IWT’s washer(s) have an optional storage capacity for two different detergents which is compatible with most cleaning agents. Please discuss with your STEQ representative if considering using chemical detergents, to determine system compatibility, functionality, user and environmental safety.
The typical flow rate is 11 gallons per minute (45l/min) however this is product and application specific. The temperature of the water depends on the settings, but cannot exceed 185°F (85°C). The water type is dependent on the validated cleaning procedure.
